Is coptercam licensed to operate UAV’s?

Yes we have full permissions for aerial work from the Civil Aviation Authority and both
our pilots are BNUC-S Qualified.

Is Coptercam insured?

Yes we are fully insured and have public liability insurance to the sum of £5 million

What weather conditions stop UAV’s from flying?

Unfortunately UAV’s don’t like the rain in any shape or form and strong winds can be
a problem especially if we are flying in confined spaces. We work closely with our clients to track weather conditions and will always be a flexible as possible with cancellations due to bad weather.

That said we have always got something out of the day and we also offer combination packages with Jibs so you can minimise downtime due to adverse weather conditions.

Can you fly them indoors?

Yes we can fly indoors using some of our UAV’s but there needs to be a fairly open
space and we may need carry out a recce to make sure it is suitable.

How long can you fly for?

Average flight times are around 10 minutes but this can alter a little in adverse
weather conditions.

How high can you fly them?

We fly all our UAV’s in accordance with the CAA rules and regulations which govern
us to 400ft and a radius of 500m.

Does Coptercam hire out it equipment to third parties?

No! All Pilots have to be Licenced by the CAA with the UAV’s they own and operate.
We cannot use other peoples aerial systems and as such we cannot cross hire
them.
